Do Come to Ibiza in March for the incredible medieval festival
The whole of the D'alt Villa (the old town in Ibiza) is transformed into a medieval city with food stalls, entertainment, re-enactments and much, much more. If you think Ibiza Town is pituresque normally, you will LOVE this annual festival.
Do Check out the amazing restaurants here; much more than just food
Most of the large, destination restaurants put on entertainment or host warm-up parties for the club night; like the newly opened Novum which hosts DJ Luciano on Sunday evenings before he plays at Pacha.
I recommend Novum, Bambuddha Grove, Aura and Blue Marlin especially!
Do Delight in the Almond Blosson
In February the Almond trees blossom in spectacular beauty; take a guided midnight walk to see the orchards around Santa Agnes.
Do Try the local tipple: Hierbas Ibicencas
Produced here on the island by Mari Mayans, the original Hierbas Ibicencas is distilled from plants and herbs such as aniseed, thyme, rosemary, lemon and orange peel; a wonderful digestive aid and a truly delicious end to your meal. At 30% proof it has a bit of a kick!
Do Hunt out the hard-to-find beaches
My favourite is Punta Galera - head to Santa Agnes from San Antonio and follow the sign. It's a tricky scramble over rocks to get down there but the water is crystal clear to 15ft or more, the red rocks glow in the sunset (which is stunning from here) and a lovely german hippy sells cold drinks at reasonable prices.. oh and someone lives in a tiny cave here too! Great mix of the beautiful, international people.
Don't Spend all of your money getting into nightclubs!
If you are on the main tourist beaches during the day you can often get wrist bands from reps that you get you into the large nightclubs for free or reduced door price. Many of the bars in Ibiza town also have free guestlist for some fo the most popular nights - saving you up to 75 euros!!
Do Visit an Agroturismo
Agroturismos are country fincas (villas) that have been restored and opened for guests. Most offer a wide range of spa treatments and feature wonderful restuarants and bars - that anyone can book. Rooms tend to be very expensive and so treating yourself to a beauty day or simply attending one of their music/fashion/lifestyle events over the summer is a great way to experience them for less! Some of the most popular are Atzaro, Ca Na Xica, Can Marquet and Can Lluc.
Do Search for Atlantis
Not surprisingly Ibiza has a hidden location called Atlantis... if you ask enough locals they will direct you towards Cala Vadella from where you can take a one hour hike to this magical clearing on the coast. Famed for its beauty and also the difficulty of reaching it!
Do Head to Benirras beach for the authentic hippy vibe at sunset
On Sunday evenings, Benirras beach in the north of the island fills up with local hippies drumming the sun down for the week - you can often see fire eating acts, pagan ceremonies and shop the handicrafts made by those who just couldn't leave...
Do Hire a bike or car to see the whole island
Many people come to Ibiza and just see the countryside through taxi's between beaches and nightlife. There is so much more! The island is staggeringly beautiful - one minute you are in deep traditional countryside with small farms, the next winding around pine covered cliffs that plunge into the Med, the next on a perfect white beach...
