![]() SupportDo I have to pay to create a Host account? No, Rentasofa is totally free for Hosts. Only when a Travelers decides to book your room, or apartment, - and you accept it! - we will charge the Traveler 10% of the total cost of the stay + USD 2 Service Fee. Why don't you allow contact information in the profiles? We want the Host to be reasonably sure that the Traveler is serious and will indeed arrive on the check-in date. The payment makes sure that the reservation is not frivolous, and allows to confirm the Travelers' identity, which adds to our Hosts' security. Obviously, it is also a way to finance the website. How do you decide which Host appears first in the Search Results? Whoever created the account earlier, appears first. The only exception are the so-called Sponsored Accounts: every Host can purchase a "sponsor package" directly from Edit My Account page, at USD 5 a month or USD 50 a year. Sponsors have precedence in the Search Results and, most importantly, can upload up to 10 pictures in their profiles. I am a registered Host. I accepted a Booking Request, but several days passed and nothing happens. What is happening? Travelers have 3 days to complete an Accepted Booking. After 3 days, and if theTraveler does not finalize the booking by making the payment, your acceptance expires. There are Travelers who make several Booking Requests, since not all of them will be accepted. Then, if several Hosts accepted, they select one and proceed to the payment. I found this perfect Host profile, but the price looks suspiciously low! Is there anything wrong with it? A "suspiciously" low price usually means that the Host is more interested in meeting new people than in making money. In this case, make sure you provide as much personal information as you can in your Booking Request, and definitely upload a personal picture.
